California Photo Scout

Now you can own the entire California Photo Scout database on your iPhone and take it with you wherever you go.  You don’t even need a network connection to access all the data contained within.

I have worked very hard during the past months to bring you an iPhone application companion for this website. Now you can access the entire database, even if you don’t have an internet connection. If you travel off the beaten path, are an iPod owner, or visit California from another country and wish to avoid roaming charges, you will find this companion extremely useful in guiding you toward the sights.

Each article contains GPS coordinates that link to Google maps for online use or that you can enter into any GPS for offline use, useful tips, and everything you are used to from this website.

The application is easy to navigate and fully optimized for the best iPhone experience. I have also included some goodies, like a Depth of Field calculator, favorite locations and a slideshow. If you see a picture you like, just tap it and the application will load the article the picture belongs to.

I am selling the application in the iTunes App Store. I will continue to provide the same information (less the goodies) on this blog.
